Rill is designed so the developer does not receive or have access to your financial information.
Who operates Rill

Information used by the app
Rill lets you enter an optional display name, budgets, expenses, categories, notes, currency preferences, exchange rates, reminder preferences, and backup settings. This information is processed and stored locally on your device. Rill does not require an account.
No developer data collection
Rill does not send this information to the developer. The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, bank connection, or developer-operated cloud service. The developer does not sell or share personal information.
Backups and exports
You can export expenses as CSV, create or restore a JSON backup, or choose a Files folder for automatic backups. These actions place files only in a destination you select, such as your private iCloud Drive. The developer cannot access those files.
When automatic backup is enabled, Rill keeps one current file, up to seven daily recovery points, and up to twelve monthly recovery points. Older recovery files are removed automatically from the selected folder. You can turn automatic backup off or change its folder at any time.
Your chosen storage provider, including Apple when you use iCloud Drive, processes those files under its own terms and privacy policy.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Rill asks iOS for notification permission and schedules reminders locally on your device. Rill does not use a remote push-notification server.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you edit them, delete them, restore a different backup, delete all app data, or remove the app. Backup and export files remain in the destination you selected until you or Rill's stated automatic-retention process removes them.
Security
Rill relies on iOS security controls and the protections of the storage location you choose. No system can guarantee absolute security, so keeping your device passcode and Apple Account secure remains important.
Children
Rill is a general-audience budgeting utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children—or anyone else—because it does not transmit personal information to the developer.
Your choices
You can use Rill without enabling reminders or automatic backup. You can export your information, delete individual records, or delete all app data from Settings → Data.
Changes to this policy
If Rill's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the affected version is released. The effective date above shows when this policy was last revised.
